The final exam finally met its end, and now it is just the time for the result to be announced. We have 2 weeks ++ of free time after that exam, and I just ran out one of it in the past few hours. Fufufu~ Last week, if one can calls it like that, I made up my mine to upgrade my OS from Vista to Windows 7. Before the "cleaning process" begin, I hold a dream to have a lighter, smoother, more powerful and reliable OS than the other OS that I've used before. (I chose to format my lappy rather than upgrade it OS because the unwanted files, I want to get rid off them, all of 'em. Even though the process is a little, no, much more complicated than just upgrading the OS into the new one.)
The formatting process, I went for it almost three (3) times! Why? Because; 1st time- I made a mistake by installing a driver for a device (hardware) that is not even exist in my lappy. That one was for a wireless hardware, and it turned my real wireless hardware into a useless metal scrap in my lappy. That driver, I can't throw it out from my laptop, seems like it pinned itself to the driver list. In other word, I can't play in LAN and can't connect to internet!
2nd time
- Then patiently I reformatted my hard disk, installed the window, bla2...until the processes done. Fuh~~
But when I launch the Warcraft 3 application (I want to play DotA at that time. If you still unclear about Warcraft 3 and DotA, go google for it...), the screen shrank! Huhu~ My monitor has a optimum resolution of 1368 x 768 pixel, and when the resolution go below than that, the desktop will shink in order to maintain the pixel of the item on the desktop. In other word, my desktop will try to hold it's quality by shrinking the area of display, and this cause a black border to appear between the display and the monitor's side.
I guessed it must be related to the old driver for my GPU and I checked for it but... but I already have the latest driver! Wuu~
(Almost) 3rd time
- Maybe when I write about this problem, it only takes a few words to describe about it but in reality, this thing has consumed my 2 days of the first week after exam!
After looking at the setting of the drivers, playing with the resolution setting. bla2...for many2 times, I finally managed to do it.
At the beginning, I guessed it might be the fault of the Window 7 that I just installed but I was wrong. It just need a 'touch' at the setting for display...Haha...
Just that, and I got something new from it... :D
No need for 3rd time!
Now I own the latest Microsoft OS in the world, Windows 7!
(I don't say that I am the only one who got this...)
P/S: Firefox better than Google Chrome....
Need to learn more...
